Simple workflow from device input to audit-ready reporting

The degausser or destroyer hardware comes with a software download and a USB cable for connecting it to a PC or laptop. Once connected, the operator opens the Data Destruction Auditor software on the PC and can enter details into the report record screen, such as company and operator name, degausser model, and information relating to the media to be destroyed.

An optional bar code scanner is available for fast input of media serial numbers. Information relating to the hardware can be automatically registered by clicking the “Find Machine” button on the screen.

Once all information has been entered, clicking the “Destroy” button starts the erase or destruction process. Progress is shown on screen and, once completed, the software records the date and time of the successful erasure or destruction. The user can then print an immediate record or export the logs as a CSV file.
